Spring Cleaning for Your Career

Wonderful article shared on Forbes.com last week:

Ten Tips for Spring Cleaning Your Career

I especially liked the comment about taking stock of where you are professionally.  We are often so focused on the immediate here and now, for all you Covey fans that would be the immediate/urgent quadrant, that we often lose sight of where we are going.  In addition to taking stock of where you are professionally, I would add that one needs to add an evaluation of one’s personal state of affairs as well.  Sometimes our careers get off the fast track for a number of reasons, and one should evaluate all the factors in one’s life when taking stock of one’s professional life.

I am off to Step #4 – Clean Off Desk because I am afraid of #5 – Clean Out the Email Inbox.

Happy cleaning.
