Danger Signs When Job Hunting

I focus quite a bit on what employers look for in applicants, how to present oneself to an employer, so when I read this post about the 8 Danger Signs When You’re Job Searching by Alison Green, I had to share.  Alison highlights signs of an employer to avoid – warning signs that a job seeker should note when evaluating an employer.  While these signs should not scare one off from an employer, it should cause one to ask more questions and research more prior to accepting.

I especially love Reason #5, zero turnover-ever.  While on the surface this looks great – stable company – it could be a warning that poor performers are not dealt with and are allowed to fester within an organization.  Anyone who has been in an office where there are severe under-performer who is allowed to stay year after year knows the drag that can have on office morale.  Additionally, you know the extra work that you picked up, on top of your existing responsibilities, that the under-performer could not handle.

Any other warning signs job seekers should be aware of?
