Two is a Trend?

The other day I shared a story about LinkedIn, networking, and the job search.  Another alum sent in his story.

“I didn’t realize how right [the alum] was about the power of networking. It’s the only way to succeed. To put this in perspective, here’s my record: networking contacts 3/3 for getting interviews, applying online 0/35.”

While this alum is not going to keep his 100% hit rate for interviews through networking, it does demonstrate that spending more time networking and talking with individuals will provide better results that just applying online.

One testimony is a nice story, two is the start of a trend, anyone care to add a third?

    I don’t have a personal example for you, but in my work with clients I would agree that using your network dramatically increases you hit-rate for interviews.
