Crafting Your Marketing Pitch?

Being focused in your career search is one thing, communicating your focus is another challenge all together.

Many of us have heard the concept of an “elevator speech” or “30 second pitch” as a way of communicating what your goals, interests, ideas, etc.  But how does one create an appropriate ‘pitch’?

  • Keep it short – what is the most important item you want the person to remember about you?
  • What can you offer a future employer? What skills do you bring to the job?
  • How are you different or better than other job seekers?
  • Finally, what is the next step?  What do you want from this person to whom you are making the pitch?
